I love winter. There is something about cold weather that just makes me feel more alive. I don't know what it is, or why. In the heat of the summer I always feel slightly oppressed. There is no escaping the heat. Warming up during winter is far easier than cooling down during summer. Plus, during winter I get to wear my green hat, which always makes me happy.
In the words of Ben Gibbard via the Death Cab for Cutie song Blacking Out The Friction:
"I don't mind the weather, I've got scarves, and caps, and sweaters.
I've got long johns under slacks for blustery days."
I've got long johns under slacks for blustery days."
I understand that I am somewhat alone in my opinion of winter. Most people look at me like I'm crazy when I say that I prefer it to summer. Maybe that is part of the reason why I prefer it. I always have to like the thing that nobody else likes. Hence why I support Millwall - because everybody hates them. I dislike bands when they become too popular, even if I still enjoy their music. I always root for the underdog. I am the underdog.
I'm so pretentious sometimes I make myself sick.
