Back in 2010 when I started this blog my second ever post was about the Squeeze song Up The Junction. I still genuinely love the song and listen to it regularly. However it now weirdly reminds me of my blog whenever I hear it. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing?!?

I still don't even really know why I keep this blog going. Why I feel the need to broadcast my thoughts and feelings over the internet to complete strangers is beyond me. I'm sure there is some sort of egotistical, conceited reasoning behind it... something along the lines of me craving attention and acceptance from my peers. Whatever.

I do enjoy reading my friends' blogs. I feel oddly connected to my uni friends through their blogosphere musings. To the point where it almost feels as if we are back in Southampton together, in the pub, shootin' the shit. Except we're not, we're in our own homes, tapping away at keyboards in the vein hope that somebody out there is reading what we are writing. If my friends feel as connected to me as I do to them then I guess that is a good a reason as any to continue spewing out this tripe.

I miss you motherfuckers!

Anyway, kind of went off track there. Up The Junction. Fantastic song. I just wanted to post another great cover of it, this time by The Bad Shepherds. For those that don't know The Bad Shepherds; they are the best covers band in the world. Ever. Fronted by Adrian Edmondson (of The Young Ones and Bottom fame), they play covers of punk songs and "folk" them up. They're frickin' awesome! Here is their take on Up The Junction...
